Running and Nordic Walking in Achensee
An optimum topography with lakeshores, the Karwendel valleys and the mountains provides plenty of variety for runners. The region of Achensee is one of the most beautiful running destinations in the Alps thanks to the perfect conditions, optimal infrastructure and brilliant international events.
All 183km marked running routes in the region are not just suitable for keen runners, but for Nordic Walkers too. Short circuits on flat terrain make things easy for beginners, while expert runners come into their own on the longer, moderately difficult and also partly steeper sections. The run circuit right around the lake is especially popular and is also the superb setting for the Achensee Run.
