Tirolean Mountain Christmas
The Sixenhof in Achenkirch is a typical Tirolean single farmhouse and home to the Achental local history museum. The Sixenhof provides the peaceful setting for the Tirolean Mountain Christmas, whose main attraction is a nativity scene in the centuries-old barn complete with life-size figures and real live animals. Visitors can also admire a traditionally decorated Christmas tree and one of the oldest nativity scenes of the Achental. As you soak in the quaint atmosphere, warm up with hot drinks and “Zelten”, a traditional fruit bread from the local bakery. The admission fee includes a visit to the rooms of the museum.
