3-G (vaccinated, recovered or tested) is no longer required for most countries, except for arrivals from China. For details, visit the official page of Austria Info.

3-G (vaccinated, recovered or tested) is no longer required for entry to Germany. Although the mask mandate has been lifted, it is recommended to wear medical-grade mouth-nose-protection in the trains of Deutsche Bahn. Follow this link for more information about entry requirements to Germany.

For those entering (returning) from the province of Tirol, the following regulations apply: Travellers are exempt from testing requirements at the time of entry, i.e. no antigen or PCR tests have to be presented. Follow this link for more information.

Government guidelines

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-G proof (vaccinated, recovered or tested) NO LONGER required by visitors, employees and service providers of hospitals, care and nursing homes, or similar facilities

MASK MANDATE LIFTED AS OF 1 June 2022

The mask mandate has been temporarily lifted including essential stores and public transport.

FFP2 masks remain mandatory in:

  • Hospitals
  • Care and nursing homes
  • Health service providers
  • Renewed mask mandate possible if case numbers increase
  • Renewed mask mandate expected in autumn

LATE NIGHT HOSPITALITY

  • No curfews

EVENTS

  • 3-G proof (vaccinated, recovered or tested) no longer required.
  • There is still a recommendation to wear FFP2 masks in enclosed spaces.
