See traditional craftspeople at work!

Achentaler Kirchtag at the Sixenhof

Join the village festival "Achentaler Kirchtag" and experience traditional handicraft: See how bobbin lace is made, watch how beautiful fabric is woven on a loom, and learn how the "Original Tiroler Doggln” (felt slippers) are made. Each year, the Sixenhof, a historical single farmhouse, plays host to the Achentaler Kirchtag. Visitors to this traditional village festival can watch craftspeople at work and see how old Tirolean crafts are kept alive.

Of course, no cultural event in Tirol is complete without music and culinary delights! Enjoy a range of traditional regional delicacies made in the old open-fire kitchen, such as "Gruassi Nudln" - delicious Tirolean deep fried pastries. In addition, the Achental farming women sell seasonal and regional produce and food specialties handcrafted with attention and care. The Kirchtag takes place in any weather. Admission is free (the Sixenhof and the craftspeople are happy to receive voluntary donations).

Did you miss this year's village festival "Achentaler Kirchtag"? No problem, preparations for 2023 are already underway.

The programme will be published online as soon as possible.
