Looking for an environmentally friendly way to travel to Lake Achensee? Great idea – and this is of course possible! The market town of Jenbach is a central traffic hub in Tirol only a 25-minute bus ride from Lake Achensee. Up to eight times per day, for example, the Austrian train “Railjet” from Vienna stops here. There is at least one connection per hour between the Bavarian capital Munich and the train station Jenbach. From there, the public buses operated by the Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT) run at regular intervals, transporting you comfortably to Lake Achensee. Visitors to Lake Achensee can take advantage of our free buses by presenting the reservation confirmation from their accommodation provider.

Travel the "last mile" by bus: On arrival, you can take advantage of our free bus transfer from Jenbach to Lake Achensee by presenting your reservation confirmation. After check-in at your accommodation, you will receive your AchenseeCard (visitor card) which is your free bus ticket for the Regiobus in the entire Achensee holiday region (including Jenbach). If you live in Austria and own a Klimaticket (annual ticket) for Austria or Tirol, use your ticket for a getaway to Lake Achensee.

At peak times, buses run up to four times per hour between the Achensee villages and Jenbach. The AchenseeCard allows you free use of the public buses in the Achensee region (including Jenbach) for the duration of your stay. The bus operators use low-floor vehicles for barrier-free travel.
